(مكتبة) Maktabah comes on the scale of (مفعلة) maf’alah, meaning that place where things of the base meaning of the word are gathered. So a Maktabah is a place where books are gathered or are found abundantly, just like a (مأسدة) ma’sadah is land abundant with lions.
(شريت) sharaytu is another way of saying (اشتريت) ishtaraytu.
