(من فضلك) min faDlika, phrase

  1. please

  1. min faDlika, aghliq ‘l-bab.
    (من فضلك أغلق الباب);
    Please close the door.
  2. tadhkirata_ni min faDlika.
    (تذكرتان من فضلك);
    Two tickets please.

This phrase is made up of three words (من), (فضل) and (ـك). If we wanted to be literal we could translate this phrase into something like “from yoru virtue” or “from your surplus”, i.e. give me a bit extra by doing this for me.
